Privacy Policy

Scope
Rook Personal Assistant (“Rook”) is a private, single-user personal-assistant integration operated for Fred Ferrer. It is not a public service. This policy explains how Rook accesses and uses Google user data.
Google data accessed
- Google Drive files and folders available to Rook’s dedicated Google identity;
- Google Docs and Google Sheets available to that identity; and
- event details from calendars explicitly shared with Rook, using read-only Calendar access.
Rook does not request or use Gmail access. Google Drive’s normal ownership, Viewer, Editor and inherited folder permissions determine which items Rook can access and what operations Google permits.
How data is used
Google user data is used only to provide or improve personal-assistant functions requested by Fred, such as retrieving, reading, summarizing, organizing or editing authorized material. It is not used for advertising, eligibility or credit decisions, surveillance, sale to data brokers, or creation of a commercial user database.
AI processing
When a requested task requires language or document analysis, relevant content may be transmitted to the AI service provider configured by Fred solely to perform that task. Rook does not use Google user data to train generalized or non-personalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
Storage and security
OAuth credentials are stored on a computer controlled by Fred and restricted to its dedicated operating-system user. Working copies or generated outputs may be stored locally when needed to complete requested tasks. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to prevent unauthorized access.
Sharing and disclosure
Google user data is not sold. It is disclosed only to service providers needed to perform a task requested by Fred, when required by law, or when Fred expressly directs a disclosure. Service-provider processing is limited to delivering the requested functionality.
Retention and deletion
Data and working copies are retained only as needed for the requested personal-assistant function, continuity, security or legal obligations. Fred may request deletion of local copies. Removing Google sharing permissions immediately ends Rook’s access to the affected item. OAuth access can be revoked in the Google Account’s third-party access settings.
User control
Fred can restrict access by changing individual file, folder or calendar permissions; remove Rook’s access entirely; or revoke the OAuth authorization. Destructive Drive actions and changes to sharing or ownership require Fred’s explicit confirmation immediately before execution.
Google API Limited Use
Rook’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
