Private, single-user integration
Rook Personal Assistant
Rook is Fred Ferrer’s private personal-assistant integration, operated on a computer under Fred’s control. It uses Google APIs only to perform tasks Fred requests and to work with Google Drive items and calendars that have been made available to Rook’s dedicated Google identity.
Google services used
- Drive, Docs and Sheets: access files available to Rook. Google’s per-file Viewer and Editor permissions remain authoritative.
- Calendar: read-only access to calendars explicitly shared with Rook.
- Gmail: not requested and not accessed.
Purpose
The integration helps Fred retrieve, summarize, organize and, when authorized, edit his own information. It is not offered to the public and is intended for fewer than 100 users.
Control
Fred controls access through normal Google sharing settings. Removing Rook from a file, folder or calendar removes that access. OAuth authorization can also be revoked through the Google Account security settings.
